SSI Salmonella antisera are intended for the serological confirmation and serotyping of Salmonella. SSI offers a portfolio of more than 200 different Salmonella antisera, covering 99% of all serotypes.

The antisera are divided to into:

SSI´s products are ready-to-use, CE-marked and produced in accordance with DS/EN ISO 13485. Shelf-life for products is four years from date of production, and minimum of two years from shipping date. Antisera are stored at 2-8° C. SSI Salmonella antisera can identify O and H antigens and the capsular antigens Vi.

Product range

Salmonella O and Vi

• Polyclonal O group pool antisera and monoclonal Vi antiserum are sold as 1 ml bottles (50 tests) and 3 ml bottles (150 tests). The O group and O factor antisera are available in 3 ml bottles (150 tests)
• The antisera are produced by immunizing rabbits with Salmonella culture, with no cross-reactivity to known O antigens
• Salmonella O and Vi antisera are used for serotyping with the slide agglutination method.

Salmonella H antisera

• For slide agglutination and phase inversion
• H phase pool antisera are offered both in 1 mL vials (50 tests) and 3 mL vials (150 tests). All other H antisera for slide agglutination are offered in 3 ml vials (150 tests)
• Phase inversion antisera are provided in 3 mL vials (30 tests)

SSI also provides kits for quick screening of Salmonella (Sero-Quick Group Kit), and quick identification of S.enteritidis and S.typhimurium.
