Exosomes and Microvesicles

The HansaBioMed product portfolio consists of both purified exosomes (small-EVs) and microvesicles (large EVs) that are obtained from a variety of biological sources, such as cell conditioned media, human plasma, serum, and urine from a pool of certified healthy donors. The lyophilized exosomes and microvesicles are easy to store and ship and are stable for long-term (up to 36 months).

EV Isolation Tools

Although ultracentrifugation is still widely used, it is not considered the gold standard methodology for Extracellular Vesicles isolation anymore. HansaBioMed has developed and optimized methods and tools for a fast, scalable, and reproducible EV purification. From HansaBioMed we offer:

  • ultrafilters for EV size separations and medium concentration, TFF-filter and EV-spinner
  • Size Exclusion Chromatography Columns for EV purification and removal of contaminants, PURE-EV

Extracellular Vesicle Characterization

EV research requires reliable, affordable, and optimized tools for quantifying and characterizing vesicles in complex biological samples and cellular models. HBM-LS provides the ExoTESTTM and Exo-FACS kits for quantifying and characterizing EV markers using ELISA and FACS. We also offer the Enolase Activity Kit, which assesses the functionality of various EV sources by measuring their enolase activity.

Antibodies for EV Research

Antibodies play a vital role in researching human diseases, developing diagnostic tests, and creating therapeutics. However, conventional antibodies often struggle to accurately detect antigens present on extracellular vesicles (EVs) due to their distinct characteristics. To overcome this challenge HansaBioMed has validated a selection of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies against common (CD63, CD81, ALIX) and disease- specific (cancer and neurodegenerative diseases) exosomal markers.
